What Rock has to offer...
Rock is a wonderful spot for families, couples and small groups looking for a relaxing seaside break. The village has a friendly, laid-back feel and easy access to some of Cornwall’s best beaches.
You can stroll down to Rock Beach for waterskiing, sandcastle building, or watching the boats on the water. Take the short ferry trip across to Padstow, where you’ll find shops, cafes, and plenty of treats for all ages. Polzeath, just a short drive away, is great for bodyboarding and beginner surfing, while Daymer Bay offers calm, gentle waters perfect for younger children.
There are lots of local walks, lovely viewpoints, and places to eat, so you’ll never be short of things to do.
Local Shops & Restaurants
Within ten minutes’ walk there is a large bakery with cafe, local butcher, fishmonger, a well-stocked Spar, newsagent and post office. There are also fashion outlets including Sea Salt, Quba, Crew and Jack Wills.
Rock has a number of restaurants walking distance from the bungalow including Four Boys, The Mariners and The Upper Deck. For those very special occasions we would recommend St Enodoc Hotel and Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant in Padstow. There are also plenty of pubs in the local outlying villages.
Activities
